After more than 20 years working as a professional makeup artist across fashion, beauty, celebrity, editorial and private clients, I have learned that there is no single formula for beautiful makeup. Every face requires a different approach.

The objective isn't to make every woman look the same. It is to create a polished version of her.

My Approach to Skin

Skin has always been particularly important in my work.

Over the years I developed my own no-base approach to makeup, where rather than automatically covering the entire face with foundation, I work selectively with the skin wherever possible.

The aim is for real skin to remain visible.

Careful preparation, precise colour correction and strategic placement of product can often create a far more sophisticated result than simply applying more makeup.

The finished face should look beautiful in person, not just through a camera or underneath studio lighting.

Bridal and Special-Occasion Makeup

For weddings and important events, beautiful makeup also has to perform.

It needs to photograph well, withstand a long day and still feel comfortable hours after it was applied.

For bridal clients, the consultation and trial are particularly valuable because they give us the opportunity to develop the look together before the wedding day.

We can discuss the dress, hair, location, lighting and overall feeling of the wedding, while still making sure the finished makeup feels unmistakably like the bride herself.

My career has taken me through very different areas of the beauty and fashion industry, and that experience influences the way I work with private clients today.

Working on editorial shoots, fashion productions and with high-profile clients teaches you to understand faces quickly, work precisely and adapt to different environments.

But regardless of whether I am working backstage, on location, in a studio or privately with a client, the principle remains the same:
